Description

With rapid growth and aggressive targets, Aculocity is looking to build its sales capability and hire a Business Development Manager to support the growth. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for creating a sales strategy, establishing client relationships, and delivering exceptional sales results against budget. While the preferred location is Chicago metro, other locations across the nation may be considered. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the President of Aculocity.

In recognition of the impact this individual will have on the organization’s future, an outstanding compensation package exists which includes a competitive base salary, significant bonus opportunity, and other benefits. Responsibilities

  • Sales Planning: Create and manage sales program – conduct market research, identify target customers, develop delivery plans and manage pipeline
  • Sales Delivery: Prospect clients, deliver presentations and close deals, serve as client liaison during the initial delivery phases
  • Relationship Management: Visit key customers and build relationships that are crucial to the success of the business
  • Product Planning: Maintain an eye on the industry so that timely and accurate input is received to set the stage for future product enhancement
  • Communication: Provide ample detail of events to peer and superior positions to keep the same aware of challenges, successes, and failures; engage project managers and software developers on product improvement and issue resolutions

Requirements

  • Strong business development background, with proven success in establishing and expanding client relationships, and showing excellence in maximizing account potential.
  • Minimum 5 years proven face to face sales results in software and consulting sales
  • Market research and sales planning
  • General technology knowledge: understanding of software development cycle, IT trends, technologies and architectures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Key qualities: high energy, self-motivated, aggressive, strong entrepreneurial spirit, consummate team player, strong business acumen, ability to manage ambiguity and unstructured environment
  • Bachelors degree preferred, but not required
  • Expected travel is between 50% to 75%
