Andrew Taitz was born in South Africa and later raised in Israel. Following service in the Israeli military and a career in the frozen foods industry in Johannesburg, South Africa, Taitz emigrated to the U.S. in 1990, pursuing new business ventures. Taitz settled in Chicago and started acquiring manufacturing firms during the recession of the 1980’s and 1990’s.
