Online Electronic Parts Catalog

The Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) controls the process for Original Equipment Manufacturers to allow dealers and customers to order spare parts for their products online.

The EPC is integrated with other organization systems in order to ensure the latest product information and breakdowns are stored and payment details are sent to the financial system.

EPC for Windows

The Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) for Windows provides customers the ability to navigate through the part and build structure of their selected products on their local machines. The system includes a separate application which allows the viewing of any applicable EPC data CD.

The EPC for Windows includes all the functionality of the online version including placing orders which is handled by a faxable order form.

Product Configurator

The Product Configurator provides a sales tool that presents base products that are highly configurable. Product attributes and components are grouped and organized to provide intuitive interaction with the system. User selections are made for each option group.

Valid selections and product configurations are enforced by the rule processing engine that validates option selections. See the Rule Engine section for further details.

The Product Configurator allows customers to build specialized products that meet their requirements, while ensuring valid configuration.

Rule Engine

Each product has a set of rules that govern its configuration. The rule engine processes the current rule set and selected product options to deliver responsive interaction with the Product Configurator and to provide immediate feedback on user selections and the effect on the product’s configuration.
